Women's Business Is Back
And I hate to say with a bang but... it is a really good episode!
The summer hiatus is over - hurrah! I have more or less really enjoyed the last six weeks with my kids. It certainly helped that we save up all our money and holidays for the summer, as the six week stretch was broken up by one trip to Devon, and one to Italy, plus some grandparent help on the home straight. It all felt pretty manageable, but of course now I’m raring to go, and something I did on a rare working day this summer was both record and edit this brand new episode of Women’s Business, which immediately became an obvious first episode for the new season, because there is soooo much to think about and take away for you AND your business in here. New season energy in abundance.
My guest Lauren Currie is on a mission to reach millions of women with her business UPFRONT and her Bond programme (‘bond’ being the collective noun for a group of women), and in this conversation we really get into the concept of confidence - if you’re born with it, or if you can learn it. Spoiler alert - you can, and Lauren is teaching that exact thing in her programme, but of course I took this opportunity to get some confidence-building hacks from Lauren for my listeners too, and what she said was so thought-provoking and inspiring that I know this is a conversation I’ll be revisiting.
We also talk about Lauren’s journey, how long it took her to get her own confidence up in launching this company, the importance of feedback in your business, and about building confidence in our kids too. So have a listen and let me know what you think!
I hope you love it. It only remains for me to say that my own online community for female founders and freelancers opens it’s doors again in ten days time, on 12th September. It’s a low cost, no pressure monthly membership for women who do their own thing and want to share the journey. We have 70 founding members already and you can find out more and apply now here to be in the next cohort. After this, doors will be closed until January.
Back next week with another brilliant episode!
